What's the most interesting aspect

Books indeed take us to alternate world but with underlying reality.

In my knowledge, books are the only technology to communicate the exact internal thoughts of the character to its readers, hence the bond develops for the story because we are not passively viewing and getting envious or glad, but we are living as that narrator and making sense of the situation.

Writing of the novels lays open the scenario to the readers, pulling them to feel that flow of story. Movies are entertaining but I personally feel that they lack this unique touch of written words of transcending a person to whole new different world.

Even though, we consider social media as an interactive platform for exchange, at its core we all are warped in our bubbles of complex emotions. Social media interacts through negative emotions of superiority/inferiority complexes, jealousy, etc as we tend to compare our mundane lives to others, visibly, extravagant lives which are crafted to feed the algorithm and not themselves. Novels, on the other hand, unleashes this latch to let our trapped emotions flow. Novels are often written from one's heart to others. And a heart is always fluttering in the sea of emotions which no algorithm can reward.
